Steve Brubaker, InfoCision chief of staff, receives 2012 Simonetti
Steve Brubaker, InfoCision chief of staff, was presented with the 2012 Dr. Frank L. Simonetti Distinguished Business Alumni Award on Friday, April 27, 2012.
The University of Akron’s College of Business Administration Alumni Association established the award in 1987 to honor successful alumni for their achievements in business and significant contributions to their communities. The award is named for alumnus and long- time professor at the College, Dr. Frank L. Simonetti.
Mr. Brubaker earned a B.S in finance from the University of Akron in 1992. In 1985, he began his career at InfoCision, while a student at the University and now serves as chief of staff. In this position, he is responsible for staff-related issues, regulatory compliance, priority project details, serves as the company’s primary negotiator and manages internal and external communications.
As a member of the American Teleservices Association, Direct Marketing Association, International Customer Service Association, and Society of Consumer Affairs Professionals, Steve has worked to encourage other industry leaders to become involved locally and nationally in promoting ethical business practices. In turn, he has received numerous awards and accolades for his significant accomplishments and contributions to the marketing and sales industry,
Mr. Brubaker is the second InfoCision executive to receive this award. Gary L. Taylor, InfoCision founder, who received degrees from the University in both 1975 and 1977, was honored in 2003.
